Open stage for performers

Hit the stage at the main library’s 2nd floor! 

Open stage is a performance platform for musicians and vocalists of all types and ages, solo artists, bands, choirs etc – acoustic shows or low-power amplifiers are preferred. You can be a beginner or semi-professional. You can also use the stage to gain some performing experience. If needed, you can use the library piano. Other types of artists are welcome at the stage as well. 

The stage is open on Wednesdays at 18:00pm to 19:30pm in the lobby of the main library 2nd floor. Check the vacant dates and book your own using the web-form by Thursday the previous week. You will receive an e-mail confirming the successful booking. If there are competing bookings, first-time performers are given preference. As a rule of thumb, the same performer can only book a time twice per year: once in autumn and once in spring. 

The library will use the information given on the form to publicly announce the event. We send the information to the local media event calendars; in addition, the event is announced in the Open stage calendar, at the library homepage and on Facebook. If you wish, you may also announce your performance yourself.
